TNB SERVED 3 WINDING UP PETITION TO PERWAJA ON 20/9/2016

PRACTICE NOTE 17 / GUIDANCE NOTE 3
MONTHLY ANNOUNCEMENT
Description
PERWAJA HOLDINGS BERHAD ("PHB" OR THE "COMPANY")

MONTHLY ANNOUNCEMENT PURSUANT TO THE PRACTICE NOTE 17 OF THE MAIN MARKET LISTING REQUIREMENTS OF BURSA MALAYSIA SECURITIES BERHAD

We refer to the first announcement made by the Company on 26 November 2013 and the monthly announcements in relation to the Company being classified as an affected listed issuer under Practice Note 17 of the Listing Requirements of Bursa Malaysia Securities Berhad (“Bursa Securities”).
The Company had on 15 July 2015 announced its proposed regularisation plan and had on 24 March 2016 announced that it had entered into a supplemental agreement in relation to the proposed regularisation plan. An application for extension of time to submit the regularisation plan to the authorities had been made on 29 September 2016.
Further on 20 September 2016, the Company announced that Tenaga Nasional Berhad (“TNB”) has on 19 September 2016 served three (3) winding up petitions on the Company’s wholly-owned subsidiary, Perwaja Steel Sdn Bhd (“PSSB”). PSSB has sought legal advice from its solicitors who have advised PSSB to take steps to contest the petitions on the basis that PSSB and its holding company, PHB, have proposed to undertake a proposed regularisation plan for the benefit of all creditors of the PHB group including TNB.
Save as disclosed above, there is no significant development on the Company’s regularisation plan since the announcement made previously on 29 September 2016.
This announcement is dated 4 October 2016.
