About 200 members of the Penang Voluntary Patrol have been detained right after the Merdeka Parade held this morning in front of the city hall.
They were taken to the Beach Street police station around 10am and were transferred to the Ibu Pejabat Polis Daerah Timur Laut at Jalan Petani where they will be detained overnight.

However as of now, no clear charges were made against the PPS members which warrants the arrest.
