不要一齊癲

        日前我到銀行辦理事務,看到一名老婦在開放式的會客室內苦苦哀求經理:「請你幫幫忙,那些錢是用來幫我女婿買樓的。你知我一直記錄良好,看看可否按高一些?」


        銀行經理回應道:「婆婆,你女婿買的是一千萬元的樓,不能做到八成按揭,最多只有六成,即使你層樓加按都未夠數。」婆婆連番歎息,欲言又止,此時婆婆的電話響起,似乎是她的女兒打來詢問結果;只見婆婆不斷回答會想辦法,叫對方不用擔心,她會再去其他銀行試試。為人子女,長大後何苦仍要父母操心?我看婆婆根本就難有希望,如果最後她要找財務公司融資,隨時有機會墮進萬劫不復的深淵。


        首期不足又想置業的人只能選擇新盤,可是新盤定價較高,入伙後瞬即變成高價二手樓,市場承接力差。當新盤售價回調,二手樓的壓力就更大。所以在這個時候高價追貨的人就像賭徒一樣,希望那位婆婆不要跟女兒和女婿瘋狂吧!

巴菲特說過:「如果你不願意持有一支股票十年,那麼連十分鍾也不要持有。」長線持有的重要性很多人都知道,但要做得卻是十分難的事,因為堅持做一件乏味的事,往往是違反人的

巴菲特受到自己拍檔芒格的影響,不再一味追求買入股價極便宜的企業,轉而認為:「以合理的價格買入出色的企業,比以便宜的價錢買入平庸的企業更好」,或者等待機會以較平的價錢買入。因此,在股市下跌時,往往是找到平貨的時間,要做到有一定安全邊際,在跌市時買卻是理想的時間。

可是,在內地或一般的投資市場,投資人都往往是市場氣氛好時才買入,跌市時卻不願意買入,所以要真正做到「安全邊際」原則並非易事,必須要有一定的紀律和理性。


例如,甲投資人在A股票大升時買下,但A股票一下跌,甲投資人很快就沽出,甲投資人因A股票而虧損了15%的投入資金。乙投資人則在A股票不貴亦不便宜的時候買入,乙投資人是長線投資者,會持有股票五年或以,不會理會股票一兩個月內的短期升跌。五年後A股票升了一倍,乙投資人因A股票暫時賺了一倍的利潤(持有股票沒有到期日),而甲投資人則因A股票虧損了15%的投入資金。


投資股票,很多人都覺得風險很大,其實投資的風險不是在於股票,而是在於投資人。同一支股票為一個投資人帶來的結果可以很不同,一個投資人可以因一支股票賺錢,另一個投資人刖可能因這支股票而虧損。


巴菲特說過:「如果你不願意持有一支股票十年,那麼連十分钟十分鍾也不要持有。」



長線持有的重要性很多人都知道,但要做得卻是十分難的事,因為堅持做一件乏味的事,往往是違反人的天性的,要做到亦絕非易事,但不代表我們我應該好好堅持對的事。

Benjamin Graham 1914年夏天於哥倫比亞大學畢業典禮前夕,他推辭掉了哲學系、英國文學系與數學系三個學系的邀請留學當助教,而奉哥倫比亞學院院長Fredrerick Paul Keppel之命前往Newburger, Henderson & Loeb公司應徵投資工作,Alfred Newburger主持面試,錄用了他,並給予他高於新從業員2美元的週薪。Graham動身離開前,Alfred Newburger跟他說:If you speculate, young man, you’ll lose your money. Always remember that.這句話讓他終身難忘。1924年暴升的大牛市一直升到1929年夏天,他卻忘掉了Alfred Newburger的話而不能嚴守投資準則,使用槓桿過高,連續大跌三年的世紀超級股災,大盤下跌89%,他的公司負債需數年才能清還!

    「麗姐」的故事



    總結多年來買賣股票的成績,「麗姐」笑說是「輸多贏少」。


    她這樣解釋自己輸錢的原因:當聽貼士買入某隻股票後,起初股價可能還會上升一段短時間,但很多時候上升幅度都不夠「水位」讓自己「下車」獲利。不久之後,股價往往便會倒頭下跌,而她也不懂或不願意「止蝕」,結果被綁,動彈不得,變成「大閘蟹」。


    雖然「麗姐」在股票市場打滾多年,總體上都是虧本的,但她仍然樂此不疲,也沒有想過改變自己的「投資風格和策略」。我想,除了可能因為「炒股票」實在太刺激之外,有位做生意收人不錯的好丈夫支撐,也應該非常重要吧。

    IBRACO EYES EARNING REBOUND IN 2017

    AFTER a tough 2016, Sarawak-based developer Ibraco Bhd is expecting its earnings to rebound this year and subsequently take off thanks mainly to its maiden airport construction job in Mukah worth RM302.64 million.

    The expected boost from its construction arm, which was idle last year, would coincide with the beginning of revenue recognition from multiple new developments beginning end-2017 onwards.


    Ibraco’s unbilled sales currently stand at RM290 million. To date, it has achieved RM220 million in sales and Chew believes the developer is on track to hit its internal target of RM350 million, which would be double its FY2016 figure.

    MATANG BUYING EXPENSIVE LAND AND RAISE FUND MAKE MORE ANGRY , TAK SUKA AND JUMPING UP & DOWN??

    Fresh from its Jan 17 2017 listing on Bursa Malaysia, the plantation group is already looking at expanding its 1,096ha of planted oil palm in Johor. While it is normal for the company to acquire plantation land, it is interesting to note that it is making another attempt at the same plot, having failed to win the bid some three months earlier.

    Among concerns raised by minority shareholders include the difference in terms of the price offered during the first bid and this round of negotiations. Matang was silent on the price tag of its first bid.

    However, there were more details in the company’s second bid to acquire the oil palm land and palm oil mill on July 18 2017. The company announced it has signed a letter of intent (LOI) with two companies – Raub Mining & Development Company Sdn Bhd (RMDC), and Raub Oil Mill Sdn Bhd (ROM) – to acquire two adjoining parcels of land in Raub, Pahang, for RM180 mil. The two plots measure a total of 1,707ha with oil palm trees and a 60-tonne per hour palm oil mill.

    Matang’s first attempt was on April 19 2017 when it announced it had submitted a tender to RMDC and ROM to acquire the two plots of leasehold oil palm land and palm oil mill.

    But before the decision was announced, the company said on May 11 that its April 2017 tender was unsuccessful and its deposit had been returned.

    Based on Companies Commission of Malaysia (CCM) filings, RMDC is predominantly controlled by former Malaysian Chinese Association (MCA) secretary-general Tan Sri Kam Woon Wah via several private entities. MCA-controlled Huaren Holdings Sdn Bhd owned 10.76% in Matang as at Aug 23 2017.

    Shareholders are asking what changed in the three months since its first bid. And if the price was the reason Matang was unsuccessful in May 2017, does this mean the company has upped its offer price since then? What happened during the tender process in May 2017? Was there no successful bidder earlier? Is the company paying a reasonable price for the assets?

    In the event the deal materialises, Matang will likely need to raise funds, given its cash hoard of RM33.65 mil as at March 31 2017. 

    For FY17 ended June 30, it posted net profits of RM1.25 mil on the back of RM9.67 mil in revenue.

    Based on the proposed acquisition price, the company will pay around RM105,448 per ha for the plantation land. For the purpose of comparison, KUB Malaysia Bhd recently completed a deal to acquire 1,534ha in Sabah from Kwantas Plantations Sdn Bhd for RM100.44 mil or RM65,475 per ha.

    MATRIX ANNOUNCED 3.25 FOR DIVIDEN, EX ON SEPT 12

    KUALA LUMPUR (Aug 24): Matrix Concepts Holdings Bhd's net profit dropped 12% to RM45.55 million in the first quarter ended June 30, 2017 (1QFY18) from RM51.92 million a year earlier as revenue fell on lower property development income.
    Matrix Concepts told Bursa Malaysia today that higher selling and marketing expenses and finance cost also curbed profit growth. Matrix Concepts said group revenue was lower at RM172.86 million versus RM196.23 million.
    The group announced a dividend of 3.25 sen a share for the quarter in review.

    WCT Holdings Bhd's net profit fell 33%

    KUALA LUMPUR (Aug 24): Construction company WCT Holdings Bhd's net profit fell 33% to RM21.48 million in its second quarter ended June 30, 2017 (2QFY17) from RM32.07 million a year ago, after being dragged by unrealised foreign exchange loss of RM16.2 million.

    我持續提醒自己第一點及第二點:謙卑並保持耐心。大多數的投資者會失敗,最主要的原因和這兩者息息相關。簡單地長期堅持這兩個簡單的概念,就能夠有出色的表現。

    有道理
