KUALA LUMPUR (Sept 18): Outgoing Proton Holdings Bhd chief executive
officer (CEO) Datuk Ahmad Fuaad Mohd Kenali has been named the new CEO
of Malakoff Corp Bhd.
The appointment will take effect from Oct 1, according to Malakoff in a Bursa Malaysia filing today. Ahmad Fuaad will be leaving Proton, which he joined since April 1 last year, on Sept 30.
Prior to Ahmad Fuaad's stint as Proton chief, he was the chief operating officer (finance & corporate) and the chief financial officer of DRB-Hicom from Aug 2013 to March 2016.
Malakoff shares closed down two sen or 1.85% to RM1.06, giving it a market capitalisation of RM5.3 billion. Year to date, the stock has declined 22.63%.
